In
our fast-paced, hustle society, it’s easy to get caught up in the daily grind. We
try to climb the corporate ladder, we want success, we want financial stability,
we want to buy some cool stuff, we want to travel the world, we want to put
things on social media and show how awesome we are to other people. These are
all somewhat important because we all want to achieve and succeed in some sort
of way.
But what is really the
true meaning of life? I think that the true meaning of life is enjoying life,
to enjoy the passage of time. It’s about growing with the people who truly matter.
If you look in the
corporate world, everybody is replaceable. No matter how skilled or dedicated you
are if you were to die suddenly, your employer would need to find somebody to
fill in your position. Know that being replaceable is not a reflection of your
worth as a person, it’s just the way it is.
Making money should not
be your all life. It’s not what life is all about. There are other things to experience
and to enjoy. No amount of money can replace the people around you. No amount
of money can replace the love that surrounds you. It’s important to balance
your life.
When you pass away, it’s not your professional accomplishments that are remembered by people. What you leave behind is the impact you had in the lives of the people around you. What do you want to be remembered by? The legacy that you leave behind is determined by what you do while you’re here, who you touch, who you impact, how you made others feel not what you do in your job, not how much money is inside your bank account. Take a step back and balance.
